February 1st Deadlock

The server appears to be deadlocked. This means that it is basically offline but the status cannot update so it appears to be online with any status checkers. We are aware of this problem and are trying to restore normal service as soon as possible.

To some of any further clarification, a Deadlock is A deadlock is a situation wherein two or more competing actions are waiting for the other to finish, and thus neither ever does. It is often seen in a Paradox (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox) like 'the chicken or the egg' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_chicken_or_the_egg).
So in other wards, What was said above, you can also think of it as the the server being "Frozen" in it's current state, whatever state that might be.


As soon as we get more information as to when the problem will be fixed, we will update this thread.

It sounds pretty bad but it's just caused by a glitch with some code. It cannot damage anything other than your gameplay experience.

Big tip for when this happens: check one of the various trackers that lists players currently online, and check if the number changes. If it stays the same, the server is fully locked. If it lowers (especially rapidly) the server is being shut down to restart. When the server finally appears as offline, it is often no more than 30-40min for it to return, unless the dev team decides to patch it.

It's funny, there i am in the middle of the fight with a stormy, all of the sudden he is beating the crap out of me, I'm thinking this cant be, and I see i have stopped, i don't move, i don't hit, nothing, OMG i'm going to be killed by a stormy, a STORMY!!! I stand there like a rag doll and and the Stormy is having the time of his life...
What can i do, i log and try to get back in the fight, server is up...
