TC:Nova Wipe & Object Restructure Launch 9/30/10

At 11:59 P.M. EST on 9/30/2010, a full and permanent wipe of TC: Nova will be performed. The entire database will be wiped:

All Characters
All Inventories
All Auctions/Banks
All Datapads (includes vehicles/waypoints/etc)
All Resource Spawns

We apologize for the inconvenience but hope you can join us in celebrating the progress being made. For help dealing with this stressful situation, please click here (http://www.swgemu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18882).

With this wipe, we are finally launching the initial release of the Object Restructure (OR). The OR is a complete code rewrite that took place over the past year. You can find more information about what the OR is here (http://www.swgemu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70615). The OR has some new features not seen on the old Nova code like Player Cities and Player Housing but it is has other things like elite combat professions that are less polished than the old Nova code.

Since the project has finally returned to a public testing phase, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the Mantis bug tracker found here (http://www.swgemu.com/bugs). As a reminder, you can always view the most recent updates to the project on the timeline found here (https://trac2.assembla.com/swgemu/timeline).

Please be aware that major fixes and additions to the OR code on TC: Nova can require database wipes. We may also have to wipe the database to “reset” the test center characters for specific testing purposes. We will do our best to give advance notice if there is one coming, but please be prepared for frequent database wipes.
