How do I tell if the server is up?
You may do this several ways. The Launchpad (LPE) has current server status displayed. You will note that this is designed to accommodate multiple servers. At this time, only Nova is linked to LPE, as it is the only server available. You may also join #test on the IRC and reading the topic. Finally, you can simply look at the top of the page on the forums for an indication. Note that the status is not always correct. If the server is deadlocked, these methods could show that it's up when in reality it is inaccessible. The best way to tell if the server is up or not is to simply try to connect. If you cannot get on the server, 99.99% of the time it is down or deadlocked.

Deadlock? What's that?
In computer science, deadlock refers to a specific condition when two or more processes are each waiting for each other to release a resource, or more than two processes are waiting for resources in a Necessary conditions). Deadlock is a common problem in multiprocessing where many processes share a specific type of mutually exclusive resource known as a software, or soft, lock. Computers intended for the time-sharing and/or real-time markets are often equipped with a hardware lock (or hard lock) which guarantees exclusive access to processes, forcing serialization. Deadlocks are particularly troubling because there is no general solution to avoid (soft) deadlocks.

Help! I've found a bug! What should I do?
One of the things about SWGEmu is that it is incomplete. There are still quite a few features that are missing. Make sure that you're bug is actually that; a bug, and not a missing feature.
If it is a bug, you should report it as soon as possible to ensure that it gets fixed quickly. First, you need to register on our bug-tracking site. This is located at http://swgemu.com/bugs/. Your account there is separate from the one you use on TC:Nova or the forums.

Once you've registered there, simply click the "Report Issue" link, fill out the form to the best of your abilities, and click "Submit Report".
