Is the launcher site down again?

I did a restore and was able to play fine, except I have no sound in SWGEMU. All other games and windows sounds (videos and mp3s) all work fine, it's just the game.

I noticed the music folder in swgemu is empty, is that suppose to be that way?

I tried that, but failed also. Attempted a system restore but it never worked for some reason, didn;t to anything to other files either.

My launcher is stuck on Updating, says Download Complete! and I can't do anything.

Issues with LPE remain. I removed and re-installed the Launch Pad. Now I get this error when trying to open LPE:

"The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:bf20 IP:d10e OP:fe 50 90 43 24 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

If I choose "Close," it closes. If I choose "Ignore," it cycles through the same error message six times while changing the second part of the message slightly. Then it leaves a DOS window open and does nothing.

Yes, the problems with launchpad do remain. Continuing to try to use it is an exercise in futility.

Ok, so I uninstalled LPE, and I re-installed it. Now I can actually get the game to load.

Now somebody logout so I can squeeze my butt into the server!

That worked for me, as well.

I also burned the whole swgemu folder to a DVD as a backup. I've had to restore from the dvd a couple times so far.

Edit: After re-installing LPE, *don't* launch LPE! Go inside the C:\swgemu folder, and double click the swgemu.exe file there.

I kept a lpe installer onhand after repairing it seems to work for how long I dont know. I still cant exsplain why it worked and didnt give me the directx9 error I got when trying to run it from the swgemu.exe

How would that work if there are updates to the game. The LPE is needed for updating, isn't it?

Doesn't really matter if LPE already corrupted all of your files due to the update failing. Plus, even after following the manual set-up guide with a fresh install it still crashes.

I get some black command box when I try to log.. Had it happen on two computers using 32 bit Vista not sure what the problem is but it wont go past that black box.... trying an reinstall of galaxies ect

LPE is fixed now, you can just use that again.

Cool mine FINALLY works, downloading SWGEmu files now. First time it's worked in almost 12 hours!!!
