Thanks for the update. It's good to know a bit about what's going on behind the scenes, and even a hidden indication of at least how much longer we can expect to enjoy our current incarnation of the Emu.

Keep it up guys!

Sorry for the vagueness and my delay in responding. I was worried I might be suggesting ETAs based on just a couple of small things a couple of the staff said, and that wouldn't be my intention or a correct conclusion. Here's what I caught in the update itself:

This indicated that at least cRush expected the OR to still be in progress by the 18th of December, since he expected to be working on it after then. This was informative because up until reading that I had no idea if the OR would be completed *tomorrow*. I now knew that I had at least a couple of weeks if I wanted to play with the current incarnation of the TC.

Serpentkaa's comments on (I believe) page 3 seemed to indicate further that the OR work would continue on into the new year. For those who just want to play on the server for a while and avoid real testing, as well as for those who are still hoping to reach Jedi before the next wipe, this is good news! There are still no promises, so there should be no whining if it's their will to wipe on a whim whenever, but we have a hazy hint of at least how long we can keep our characters.

To clarify, THIS IS NOT AN ETA. The OR could be completed 10 hours, 10 days, or 10 months after the new year. I only wanted to point out that it appears we have a bare minimum of a few weeks left.

Just my thoughts,
Poocho

Camping in the Cloners

Players that kill another character in the field may not follow the character to the cloner and "camp" them for a second or third kill. This includes bringing additional members of the killer's guild or alts to wait at the cloner. As a rule of thumb, do not kill any player within the cloning facility.

I don't really agree with this the camped can just log out and play on another character... I mean with the emu some players have like 5 alts... if the camped does not wish to help himself by logging out and instead cries to IRC or reports then honestly its not the campers fault... it's the camped's fault.

Not everyone has 5 alts, some of us only have 2. And when 1 of them is stuck rubberbanding there is not much choice... The cloners should be offlimits for pvp anyway, at least for people that have just cloned.

Anyway. Keep up the good work team!

Sorry but even that can not be used as an excuse on most cases when 1 player switches to another character OR even simply goes back to the character select menu it fixes the rubber band the same way dying or shuttling does because it reloads the world.

So ya honestly there should be no repercussion for clone camping.

You don't even have an argument, you're just claiming that because it's possible to "escape" clone camping, therefore, it is justified. I still haven't heard why it's justified in any circumstance.
