By that comment, I'm assuming the vehicle customization kit does not work or cannot be made? I was considering trying it out, but needed novice droid engineer for one subcomponent. I can confirm that mostly no mobs spawned while on my swoop, but a few of the bigger ones on talus did show up on my radar. It could be possible that if someone is in the area the mobs could show up while riding.

Nope, can't be made.
I tried a while back when (almost) full crafting was implemented, first thing I tried was to make a vehicle customization kit, looked for the components and got pwned by DE.
