The will have all the features and perks that the original version had just that in the beginning it will not have all the features as they are conducting a thorough test of the server that way there will no no issues down the road.

A quick question for post wipe

This may have been addressed elsewhere (and thus proof of my lack of skill in searching technique), but am going to ask anyway.

Based on conflicting information from different sources (some, with a bit of humor I am sure) being passed on to me, I thought I'd ask the community at large. I remember reading about this "somewhere" but cannot find the information.

After the wipe:

1) do we have to uninstall and reinstall SWG?

2) is there a new forum url at which we will have to register?

3) is there a different emulator we will have to download (after deleting the old)?

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

1) no, i dont think so, since we didnt have to reinstall or something like that for the daily stress tests neither... its just about server code

2) it was planned to introduce a relaunched forum (update) ... dunno, think it comes later?

3) see 1)

if im wrong somewhere, let us know

Not changing the URL, however, it's going to require re-registration

Wish we could have more information on how that's going to work. ): Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

They said that when the new site is up it will require registering your account again, however the new database will link to the old one to retrieve your information, Unless you use a new account name and password in which case it will be as if you just created an entirely new account.

If I can find that post I'll link it here.

Well yeah, I knew that already. But there aren't any specifics on how it will work (IE, post counts, join dates, etc.) I assume they'll be linked, but I can't really know for sure without clarification. :P
