I only mentioned the time to refute the assumption that we never wanted the wipe to happen in the first place. Why would we create more work for ourselves when we could have just sat on TC for the months to come with very little fallout? Please see the forest for the trees and take off the blinders. Try using some logic.

Time not spent does not show cause, as a negative is not an affirmative. Logic? You lost that on word two. "I only" everyone one else be Dammned. Your blameless because you "worked" sooo long because you said your sorry because you feel everyone else should just "get you" You exhibit childhood chatter syndrome. |

Odwill may be a wipe-tease. A naughty hawt lil wipe-tease in need of a spanki...I mean, its not entirely his fault. We should be past the anger part and be moving on to reconciliation, learning from the mistake, and figuring out where we go from here.

Forget it and go play, just like you did a few days ago. Devs will continue to work on the OR, as they were doing. Well, as long as the people personally attacking them don't piss them off too much, you never know what might happen if this nonsense continues.

Well, the one thing that this has made abundantly clear to me is that the majority of the community surrounding this game is simply not one that I can continue to test and enjoy the game with. It's too divided and hostile. Certainly I took a side in the wipe debate, but I tried to state my thoughts clearly, and was open to consider the arguments of others. Most of the hundreds of pages of posts I read were just bitter hostility, though I appreciate those which rose above that.
Long story short, this will be ignored or I'll get a "QQ more, noob" or something, which is fine. How I feel about the community isn't the reason I made this post... I simply ask that this account and its associated information be deleted as I have uninstalled the emulator and SWG and don't intend to return at any point in the near future. I like to tie up loose ends like that, and it would be much appreciated. And lastly, I would like to thank the developers of this project. I installed it out of curiosity to see how the project was coming along, and to see if there was anything I could do to help, and spent a couple weeks playing with it. What you've accomplished is genuinely impressive, and allowed me to relive those memories of 2004 and the only MMORPG I ever played quite convincingly, lantern birds and all. Damn elusive Lantern Birds of memory. Never could remember what they looked like. I wish you success with completing this project, as I'm sure that in a finished state with a broader community it would be a very enjoyable experience indeed. |

I think this event makes SWGEmu the closest we will ever come to emulating SWG Pre-cu. Even without a complete game, so much drama/butthurt has been generated. This brings back good memories.

This has to be a joke right ? Or have you not slept for the past 8 weeks as well ? Like the other conspiracy theorists that think the evil devs are plotting against us ?

He's telling you that your biases for a server wipe are blinding you. That it makes no sense to create more work for himself. You're trying to pick out specific details of what happened to fit your version of things (the trees), instead of looking at the picture as a whole (the forest). Read more books please. |
