Multiple at same house hold
Ok I need to know as well about this double log in thing. I have played every game that is out there to date and never had an issue.
I currently have me at my home and my nephew that log in almost nightly and play...We both have our own account....and it hasnt been an issue yet. As of today though I dont know if this means anything but I figued I would ask about it as I dont know if it might be a ban or not. I dont think it is but here I go... I tried to log on today and got this message. The remote server returned an error 404 not found. Address:ttp://Ipe.ocdsoft.com/install/version.txt File:C:\(long folder name here) Then I hit ok and it says. Error updating: Index was out of range. Must be non-negitive and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name:index WHAT DOES THIS MEAN... And If I need to also have something arranged so that me and my Nephew can log in from same IP than please help me to not get banned..I dont know anyone that doesnt have members of family that play from same household. That what a network is all about. His log in and items are totally his but were just on 2 different comps with same IP..from same router... Oh also what does message man..? His login on his machine is doing same thing now.... Blixx'Rey |

I've been playin but finally got hubby to play also
Hi, MiniMe here.... I am announcing that my husband and I have 2 computers and are using different usernames but the same password. Will this be considered a dual account even tho we both play on seperate computers using a router?
He just made his account as Jiralrarra (wookie sound) and my name is Leelahfwen Flangermungle or Leelahfwek Flangermugel. Please let me know if this is a non-issue as someone in game told me they were banned until they wrote to you stating they had a roommate who also played. Thanks, MiniMe PS you guys are sooooo awesome and the game is stupendously delicious! |

When I starte playing the EMU I just assumed I'd need another account to log on at the same time ust like it used to be pre-cu (sorry bout that), after the last DB wipe I started two separate accounts, one with main toons and the other with Smuggler/ID and Musician/Dancer. I've since added some support toons to my main account so sorry for my mistake and won't be doing it again.

There are 3 of us in this household (two refugees from NGE+3 days), each with own account and comp. We learned the hard way no to mix up accounts and comps by getting 2 of our accounts banned. Now that each of us sticks to his and her comp all is well.
ps we love you all! |

Thanks for posting this. I have a son that is somewhat interested, and he would have enjoyed playing, I didn't as of yet create the second account, but I could have. and it's great to know I can log on more then once with the same account, I just wish I'd known it sooner, my smuggler could have been slicing some weapons for my other characters. and trade would be easy. about the only question that isn't answered here. How many characters may you have per account?

I was going to start a thread on this, but perhaps it relates to this thread too.
Are multiple accounts going to be actively policed when the game goes live? Obviously, it would be the duty of server admins, but I wondered if there were tools to aid them. My concerns stems from it occurring to me last night that the subscription fee for SWG limited the number of characters you were inclined to run. Without a subscription fee in place, I had visions of people having a character of every class, which I think has ramifications for the server's economy, etc. Tak. |
