ima agree with everyone here by saying your against the majority. I voted no but give the people what they want. and that is a wipe!

trunck 04-27-2010 02:53 PM

has SOE bought out the EMU?

Raven118 04-27-2010 02:53 PM

GOOD JOB DEVS! Forget this nonsense, and roll on with the OR. Then will we wipe this sandbox and get on with the real work!!!

Actually Kyle said it should be more than 66%, but since that thread went bye, bye...

Xisien 04-27-2010 02:54 PM

hm.. late April fools? :D

RavenLock 04-27-2010 02:54 PM

This whole thing makes me laugh.

Oh what the future holds.

Actually, I was on a call at work and refreshed my page before the call, it was just under 66.5% - as I still have the page open with 1980 votes or so.

It was around 70%

There was 47% roughly for blue frogs.
24% roughly for straight wipe.

just enough votes, all thrown in 3rd option to get it under 66.6 (Which is a statistical imposiblitly btw)

Tyler Durden 04-27-2010 02:57 PM

Odwill - Thanks for putting an end to this Crazyness. The way people reacted in that poll was embarasing to say the least. (i voted wipe + frogs) but i fully understand why this has turned out this way and i think you have made the right choice.

All involved in that farce should hang your heads in shame, NOW the devs wont be so open with us, NOW they will not welcome input directly from us. Thanks a lot!

The original text was 66%. Not 66.6%. "Over 66%."
That was something a poster invented mid-thread and people decided to run with it as the new gospel...

Either way, whatever... but do we really need to continue making **** up?

relentless890 04-27-2010 02:57 PM

it was only 66% they wanted not 66.6% - that's what some fifth grader said, not a dev

they got 66.36%, the "majority" that is now being firmly neglected

people gave out still like it was Christmas, maybe even more than C-Day

Freedon 04-27-2010 02:58 PM

I'd suggest a way for the future users to not abuse the system, make new accounts not able to vote for 1 month -after- they've been created.

Also, take all the new accounts that were probably made for "Duping Votes" and delete them so they'd have to be remade. It's easy to tell which ones are which, see which ones have the exact same email. See one email with 10 log-in names, it's a dupe, erase the last 9.

Dupers FTLoss.....

Vlada 04-27-2010 02:58 PM

I updated/edited my post, it was misleading.

Twiz 04-27-2010 02:59 PM

Wow just wow. you people that are calling them SOE need to remember that these people are doing all this FOR FREE FOR US. They made a decision as a staff, you dont like it? gtfo and go make your own emulator.

Yhor 04-27-2010 03:00 PM

Welcome to SOE, the free edition.

Lying, cheating, and generally going back on your word are what drives it.

ya I read that, and also saw the NO's get over 55 votes in the last ...count em 2 minutes before the thread was locked............ then deleted......then this

How convenient was that?

what was the end result?

It was like 75%/25%, then the new accounts started being made and the "no"s start to go up. The dupers duped so they could win again.

/facepalm for encouraging them

this again.

Wipe = PvP Reborn, Crafting (weapon/food/spices/armor) would have greater value once again and Economy would be more stable (Without Dupers).

No Wipe = No PvP, Crafting (weapons and foods) not really useful, Economy stays all screwed up.

Great Job Devs!

Or we could just stay here and have our way with this one lol. Don't worry I won't smack it around too much while I'm ****ing it.

relentless890 04-27-2010 03:02 PM

the majority clearly got "duped" here

we only wanted an uninflated economy without credit dupers and 4000+dmg weapons

Please stop throwing words like statistically impossible out, especially since you a) appear to have little to no grasp of statistics and b) have not shown the "statistics" that show it is impossible.

Jengu-fet 04-27-2010 03:02 PM

We should have a vote to see what the community wants.

tbh I don't think it will be pvp reborn straight away lol.

but pretty much.

Lucious 04-27-2010 03:02 PM

WAY TO GO WOOOOHOOO.
I am really surprised but it seems are DEV's can learn from past mistakes! SWGEMU FTW!!!!!

dbinky 04-27-2010 03:03 PM

Ya know... QQers ruin everything in every game. Look at SWG, Battlefield Heroes, etc...

Gapster 04-27-2010 03:04 PM

Yay!

Demos 04-27-2010 03:04 PM

So I'm seriously confused......

The poll was to wipe or not.

The majority voted to wipe, so you didn't do it....

Ummmm, am I missing anything here?

This is like ground hogs day with me stuck in a story with SOE......

Thank god APB comes out in a couple of months, and that should hold me over till SW:TOR comes out.

Have fun gang.

Yeh 66.95%

Brilliance 04-27-2010 03:06 PM

Surprise plot twist! Decision made at least, even if it was a weird one.

salem 04-27-2010 03:06 PM

Thanks and keep moving forward

but doesnt 44.23 + 22.72 = 66.95 which > 66.6

Now were seeing why it went POOF huh?

Spun 04-27-2010 03:07 PM

Reminds me of the Florida recount lol.

pwyll 04-27-2010 03:07 PM

Can someone show me how to dupe? I need to play catch up then.

Nakasi 04-27-2010 03:08 PM

The dupers and jedi fan boys win again. A vocal minority beats the opinion of a majority vote. Just like old times, gentlemen. Just like old times.

VexFallstar 04-27-2010 03:08 PM

This whole farce has been, and is an example of how immature a large amount of the community is when given the option to voice their opinion.

Disgusting.

DEVS: you guys will get bashed whatever you do, because no matter how much something will or won't benefit a community, someone will -ALWAYS- whine about it.

Make a plan, and stick with it.
Unless it's NGE.

Hossdale 04-27-2010 03:08 PM

On the brighter side at least now I know how it feels to be a voter in Florida.
