To get to Pub14, and then to never again alter the game is to basically doom the emu from the start.

The devs need to add more content, fix old bugs, and let the game grow. Or else the game will just get stagnant!!

Let me clarify as I have said many times, the SWGEmu PreCU v1.00 will be as accurate to Publish 14.1 as humanly possible this many years after it was LIVE. Some obvious bugs will not be intentionally coded into it either.

AFTER v1.00 is release for ANYBODY to run a server, the Team here plans on expanding past Publish 14.1 but that is just OPTIONAL to the server communities.

Both on SunCrusher and server communities, mods can and will be done. These things are for the Future Server Ideas forum but of course they get mentioned in places like this too. Everybody can express their opinions, we just need to try to keep them in the right place on the forums :)

And here I thought SC will be "vanilla" :P but I suppose that's a good enough reason (losing it's shininess)

Suncrusher will begin as "vanilla" surely enough. That will be the starting point for the launch, and that'll be the code they'll put out for others to use. However, it won't likely remain "vanilla." It will be modified and adapted to fit the needs of the server.

Ditto - I would love to see MCH back. It was my favorite profession. I was/am a pretty casual player and back in 03 when I was introduced to the MMO world I fell in love with it. The thrill of taming pets was so much fun...I remember taming my first Graul and wow, was it a blast. I died about 3 times before I got it.

I didn't say that. What I was referring to is the changes that WILL come to SC. I'm all for adding content, fixing bugs, new textures, quests, armor, or whatever else they wish to fix or add.

What I am against is changing systems already in place. We already know they are changing Jedi unlock system. It's been stated on multiple occasions. They will either make it to hard, or they will make it too easy... so is it going to be pre-pub 9 or NGE? Pick your poison.

There have been talks to balance out classes... WTH is this? the whole point for the system was you have 250 sp to put into whatever pro you can. If it makes you bigger and strong then the guy that is a plan jane pistoleer then so be it.

So when I said what I said it was referring to changing in game systems. SC should add/fix things, they shouldn't adjust anything that was the way it was built... biggest ex: you guessed it JEDI.
