especially with the new improvements being made to most games, now that the AGEIA PhysX engine is being used. Some companies have realised that you can get amazing quality with the AGEIA engine and run on the more lower end machines with little to no lag at all.. for example Unreal Tournament 3, the game has super high-end cutting edge graphics, yet you can run it on full with lets say a.. 7300 gs, and you won't get a drop in lag.

The point is, game development is getting smarter.. Dual-Core and Quad-Core is too far ahead of its time, and no one will probably use it until their price drops drastically to call it norm.
