I don't think we disagree then. It has been thoroughly demonstrated that the community lacks any real power - even when its opinion is solicited under that pretense, and even when ignoring the community perspective is clearly senseless and unjust.

I wouldn't agree that it's unjust. They're devs, we're not. If we want the same decision-making power, we should be devs ourselves. Just because have input on issues doesn't mean we ultimate make the choices. End of story.

But when they actually give us the option which they did..? Where does that come into play? |

They gave us the option to be involved in the decision-making process. The buck stops with them when it comes to the actual decision. That's as it should be. Being involved didn't mean we got to make the final decision.

Far as I can tell, SOE still runs SWG with a larger player base than the EMU has.
SOE was getting paid to provide you a service. See the difference? |

My point in my last post was that it is idiotic to continuously ignore the majority of your player base thinking you can do no wrong. Sure SOE may still be running SWG with enough people playing to get by, but it's obvious that by going against their fan base is why we are here today playing this emulation. Paying to play a game or it being free has nothing to do with anything. If you go against what the majority of your fan base wants time and time again, you will ultimately fail. |

But instead we got a voice here, and not there. And people are complaining... go figure. |

I understand where you're coming from. But if you have a million chiefs and no Indians that works out even less well. At least we got a voice, unlike with SOE.
When it comes down to it, Orwell was right. We are all equal, but some are more equal than others. And it won't work any other way. |
