"Is it safe to say that with in the next 2 years we will be seeing JTL added to the EMU?"

If so will it be exactly the same or will you guys tweek it a little to make it less back braking?

Probably the same at first, point is recreating it as it was, after that, who knows.

It's not about saving toons during a code update, it's that it's easier to test things with a fresh database, toons, resources and spawns included. :P

Well I stopped playing SWG a little over 1.5 years ago and as I recall JTL was not truly changed that much it was pretty much the same as it was when it came out with the exception of Kashyyyk space.

If the Devs ever decide to tweek it it some I would love to suggest a "Rogue Squadron Theme" for like a mission instance.
That game was awesome how pilots could fly into a city and just level the place!

They said blue frogs will be added in the beginning so you will have a chance to recreate your toons skill tree, which to me sounds awesome! We are being given a chance to recreate or start over.

People we are the lucky ones here that are helping to test out a game that is literally rewriting and creating MMORPG history!

But you won't get blue frogs when initial testing is done. Eventually, they'll have everything that was in Nova back in place, and you'll have to regrind everything again without the assistance of blue frogs. :P

If they give us blue frogs when the initial testing is done then the game would suck, what would the point of it all be?

having to regrind from scratch is a small price to pay considering the reward of it all.

I'm honestly stoked about the whipe. I know the devs have been working on OR for a long time, but this is the first time since they scraped the Nova code that we get to see real progress, bi-weekly updates, code updates, all that jazz.

It once again feels like EMU is right around the corner.

Indeed, defeats the purpose of a full database wipe if people are saving their characters. :X
