Relogging fixes the lag issue for me, however within about 4 mins its back to like press a key and 20 seconds later it happens, sometimes though it sorts itself out but not often, normally requires a relog.

Well for the most part I rarely got lag, nor did I today (march 7th, 2007) but erratically once in a while I get lag, related to packet loss since last time I had severe lagspikes I tried pinging the server (chicago.swgemu.com) with command prompt and most of the time I got between 25% and 50% packet loss which is what was I assume was causing the lag. Anyways just thought I'd mention that.

I used to get a lot of chat and command lag, but now it seems to be pretty much fixed.

When we had the first big test, using an ASUS laptop with 2.17 Ghz processor, 2 GB Ram, and a hotel network connection at 11 mbps, I was getting lag like crazy. Chat took forever, and combat/heal commands were very slow.

Last night I logged on from home with the same laptop with my wireless cable connection operating at 54 mbps. I got no lag whatsoever, no disconnections.

Combat is still buggy as hell of course, but it looks like you guys are making fantastic progress! Thank you so much for selflessly putting in so much time on this project!

What I thought was lag yesterday really wasn't lag at all. It was people spamming warcry and delaying me so I couldn't do anything like attack, heal, or whatever. I could speak though. Its bugged by the way and should break if you get attacked, I think, but it doesn't. Hope people aren't confusing warcry with lag. Otherwise lag free yesterday when I was playing.

Probably was just me, but I was feeling a lot more lag than I was before the patch (and I mean lag in everything, even when I wasn't around anyone).

No lag. Just the occasional disconnections, that's it.

This is basically the same kind of lag I received, basically only with the stress test with just a couple disconnects. As of current I'm getting no lag, or very minimal and so far no disconnects.

I used to have lag around the time the #test channel was created
after a few weeks (patches) it went better and better
right now it's better than it was on SOE servers (I live in Europe and always played on US server)
so for the lag part, very nice job
