Don't wet yourself again because you know there's not way it will be implemented in near future. In few years, it will be peace of cake for games but not for SWGEmu, well until we all get super computers that can handle the lag anyways.

Quad-core gaming PCs are quickly becoming the norm. Intel has set a price point that has lower-end (Q6600) flying off shelves. And with the overclockability of the newer Intel chips it's rather easy to take a $600 rig and have it working like a $1200 rig. Soooo...yeah, impliment everything!!

No? They're completely worthless for gaming. It's not going to be anywhere near the norm for some years to come. If I'm able to run BOINC, SWG, WoW and have my BOINC work on 2 computing tasks without any major loss of time, why oh why would you ever need a quad-core for gaming? Dual cores aren't even the norm yet, you should check Steam's survey:

I don't know whens the last time anyone has said:

Shoot! This new game is going to be so CPU heavy!

QFE

especially with the new improvements being made to most games, now that the AGEIA PhysX engine is being used. Some companies have realised that you can get amazing quality with the AGEIA engine and run on the more lower end machines with little to no lag at all.. for example Unreal Tournament 3, the game has super high-end cutting edge graphics, yet you can run it on full with lets say a.. 7300 gs, and you won't get a drop in lag.

The point is, game development is getting smarter.. Dual-Core and Quad-Core is too far ahead of its time, and no one will probably use it until their price drops drastically to call it norm.
