Phase Testing Tasks for Week of 3/24

Due to the extended period of downtime, we've decided to include last weeks tasks with the current set. Please report any new bugs and comment on existing ones.

What is to come:
The dev team is preparing for a few Object code overhauls in the next three weeks. Bug fixes before then are key, please report and comment on the bug site as much as you can. There will be a LOT of patching this week. We will also be looking to expand the development team to tackle the increased amount of reports.

Task Rundown
  • Creature Attack Speed
  • Melee Classes - AoE attacks
  • Crafting - Armor and Clothing
  • Traps, Grenades, Stimpacks
  • Entertainer (Band Flourishes)
  • Focus Marksman Testing (all skills / abilities)
  • Focus Brawler Testing (all skills / abilities)
  • Bazaar & Auction Systems
-------------------------------------------------------------

Details and Notes

Creature Attack Speed:
panchjr fixed the Creature Attack Speed bug in Revision 1395. Report any anomalies with creature attack speeds.

Melee Classes - AoE attacks:
Begin to test AoE attacks on all melee classes, report ANY inaccuracy's (range, dmg etc). This will be a multi-week task.

Crafting:
Many new schematics in the wearable category will be making way to the server over the next week. Please test them in depth to make sure: All the ingredients/amounts are good, functionality, that armor has the correct specials and vulnerabilities, sockets are generating like pre-cu, and also that the combat equations are holding with the new armor. kyle has patched some of the bugs that cropped up during the past week. Report any additional bugs you find.

Traps, Grenades, Stimpacks:
Timers were updated by mrtopas. Report inaccuracies.

Entertainer:
Entertainer should be feature complete. ANYTHING that is missing from the Entertainer profession set should be reported on the Bug Tracker. Issues with band flourishes, which were added recently, should be the focus this week (how they affect HAM, etc).

Marksman:
TAFirehawk has added almost all SWG weapons to the BF. Please test Marksman from a fresh char, with limited blue frog assistance (besides weapons). There was an internal staff test of marksman earlier, but there are probably a bunch of things we missed. Please report any issues asap!

Brawler:
Brawler should also be tested from ground up, with limited BF assistance. Report any issues to the bug tracker.

Bazaar / Auction:
Please continue to test the Bazaar and Auction system, comment on existing bugs, and submit unreported ones.

------------------------

Closing Notes:

-BiWeekly coming up this Sunday (3/29) - will introduce a major component to test for week of 3/30. Lets get the current batch of bugs reported, we will be doing a LOT of patching this week.
-The TC may experience downtime as issues from the earlier crash are resolved (believed to be HDD fail)
-Internal Test Center will be used heavily to test some of the major code rollouts before they hit TC:Nova for general testing - should reduce the amount of reports from unrepeatable/unknown causes
-Final few articles for the website are being completed, Web team is rolling out fixes for the style sheets (mainly for IE)

Busy, busy, busy...

"But for many people it is much more than a game - it is a part of their lives where they have invested huge amounts of time building a community. And that community has been based on a sophisticated, mature game. So now, for them to take an adult-level combat and economics simulation and turn it into a mindless game for 10-year-olds is a violation of that community."
