I think some people are being too negative about the status of the OR. It does "seem" like alot of work still needs to be done, but not knowing much about coding, makes that assumption flawed.
If you saw a car that was up on cinder blocks with no tires, the interior missing, and the motor needing a new fuel injection. You would "think" that it would take awhile to fix the car, or that the car is junk. In actuality, once you get the fuel injection working to were it's runnable, the rest of the work isn't that hard or time consuming to get the car back on the road. You tackle the hard parts first, then move on to the easy parts. The Devs already said that some of the bugs they know about, are not that big of a priority right now. I think this is the case.
If you remember last April when we had that wipe poll, it was stated that the OR could be 6 months or more away. To think it's only been 5 months and we are testing the OR says alot.

On the same token, look up the word deadlock....

That's what has most likely happened. This recent 'tests' are to find problems with the code that eventually lead to the server going down. These need to be found and dealt with for stability so that it can be left up longer. This requires us to log on and do things while we can.

p.s. the server can only be reset physically by TheAnswer who is in charge of the hardware. More than likely he and other coders would review the logs to see WHAT took down the server and try to correct it. Btw....TC is based in Europe and subsequently time is based around that.

Didn't get to spend much time online during these updates but I must say that I was impressed. Many, many tiny & annoying bugs seemed to vanish overnight.

I don't know what time zone your in but it didn't go down until late at night west coast time and was up at 11am or so until pretty late the next day west coast time.

The server inst 100% stable that is one of the things we are helping to work out.

Did you even read my post it wasn't a flame it was a statement of fact that they left OR up for 2 days (yes there is downtime it happens)

TA probably fixed some bugs, now those need to be tested again.
