"But for many people it is much more than a game - it is a part of their lives where they have invested huge amounts of time building a community. And that community has been based on a sophisticated, mature game. So now, for them to take an adult-level combat and economics simulation and turn it into a mindless game for 10-year-olds is a violation of that community."

I say a good Beta Client by fall. (I consider us in an alpha stage right now...)

At the rate they are going it should get better. The devs are getting better at untangling SOE's mess of coding and we'll see a lot more I bet over the upcoming 6 months.

Great work!

I don't doubt it. In fact, I'm looking forward to a summer release.

We absolutely don't need JTL when we first start out and none of us will probably need housing etc. so on the note I am hoping for a summer release, it will make my day! hell, day, it will make my life!

Yea first part its true, we dont need JTL, but we do need houses, houses were major part of pre-cu, wanne know why? because without houses there is no vendors, without vendors, the economy fails, with economy failing, SWGEmu fails. Economy is what kept SWG alive. When they turned down decay and when they made so you can just loot the uber stuff, economy failed and so did star wars galaxies.

Welllllllllll.......

I did not take that under consideration lol, good point

So yeah I guess the only thing at ground zero is housing if I am correct?

The devs want to take their sweet time to make everything nice and smooth, so I'd say much later than summer. I'd rather wait an extra 4 months and have a great game than have a buggier version sooner. I know all of us ex-swg-addicts want our crack NOW, but that's not happening.

Take all the time you need devs. Much <3

Pretty much this. And IRL sometimes rears its ugly head. The opensource move has really boosted the project (and others) so lots to be amped about.

Word on the street is that housing is coming along really nicely.

I still stick to my Summer of Hope.

I would say another year.

But maybe around Christmas, because I'm hoping for a miracle.

By the way good job devs.
