[Forums] IRC Java Client

Hey guys.
We've been trying to install stuff to the forums lately to make everyone's life a bit more fun/easier. I just installed a new chat client, so everyone should be able to join on the IRC. The direct link to the client is http://swgemu.com/forums/irc.php.
For those unfamiliar with IRC, or who have been unable to install a client on your computer, this should help with being able to get onto our IRC. I would suggest you also read this tutorial to get acquainted with the different commands you can use... http://swgemu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15460
Enjoy!

Jump on IRC whenever you can! It's a great place, with lots of info flying around and some interesting discussions now and then. As [m]tree always said: It's where all the real action takes place!

I normally go through a proxy to hit your forums, due to this i tend to have problems with IRC clients. here is the error i get with the one you have just put in.

"Connecting...
Unable to connect : java.net.ConnectException : Connection refused: connect "

any sugggestions?

At lot of times, the "Connection refused" error happens when you have an improperly configured or overaggressive firewall or virus scanner. Whenever I try to join IRC, I have to disable McAfee; it doesn't seem to like to let me connect. Make sure that you don't have one of those doing that sort of thing.
