LOL lemme guess your the "architect" from SOE forums? The one who asked for facts, then when you got them you said "I don't care about your facts so called Dev"
lol if that was you LOL..you have the worst arguments i have ever seen.

jesus you guys are letting him off easy , i mean normally someone asks a genuine question gets flamed to hell and possibly banned , yet this guy comes on and flames with his first post at a key time in development and gets away with it

I did'nt get in to test, but all this lack of lag is an amazing feat. Cheers guys, its amazing to see a core that seems fundamentally a lot better than that of SOE's back in the pre-cu days. Nice one!

It was fun, there were some connectivity issues but once we got going I was impressed. We can beat 300, and I look forward to more content.

I dug this out of zipped screenshots, when we tried to crash the server it reminded me of a protest in theed a long time ago about their announcement to delay the CU and push out JTL.

I don't know how many people but it lagged like no tomorrow

The community, not the team, is making that illogical comparison out of a lack of understanding.

Hate somewhere else.

Since you guys had less lag on one machine than SOE did on their clustered servers, what does that mean?

It also means that progess is made over the years, and servers become faster and can handle a lot more, not just at a lower cost, but also more effectively.

I think it's quite possible to make a clustered server setup and run this Emu with whatever functions that are implemented, with the hardware we currently use, or any that is developed in the very near future. Besides the large number of players that is online, there are also random or static spawns of mobs / npcs, as well as player houses, and the vast quantity of personal harvesters.

Now that one brings back memories. Except it wasn't the combat UPGRADE we were referring to. It was a revamp they had sold us on for eight months previous. This action also led to the first exodus of SWG. Though it was small and unoticed.

If you think about it they were probably working on the NGE as far back as pub 6.

Anyways enough reminicising. GJ on the recient stress test.
