This is quite an accomplishment, considering the Live used clustered servers couldn't handle 100 people in a small area.

We did it with ONE SINGLE MACHINE.

And did I mention there was almost NO LAG AT ALL.

Thanks to everyone who came on to test. We will continue doing tests so hang around in #test or here to get info on when the server will be up.

If I may be so bold.... what was the specs on your server.
The test sounded most impressive, to my sorrow I was in a situation where I didnt have a computer that I could use that time. The one computer made it sound even more impressive (what would make it even more would be to hear it was run on a 5 year old computer).

Awesome work!
I didn't get to connect to the server due to real life events but from what i've seen it's even more stable than SOE's servers, graphical and connection wise, the emu is turning out VERY NICE.

hmm.. well lets think. Are they in the same catagory? yes. Is a live server our goal? yes. So why not compare them? pherhaps your confused by the definition of campare, it is to relate two objects, not claim equality of two objects.

EDIT:

Just because I've had a few requests, the server stats are as follows.

CORE 2 DUO 6300
2GB DDR2 RAM
400GB SATA Drive.
100MBIT Connection.

It was sweet while I was on, but it did have major disconnect problems. Yes I know this is only the first of many tests. Just wanted to say something about it. I believe someone posted about being bisconnected like 30 or so time trying to log in. Myself was about half that, but still alot.

No lag though once I got in. Ping was about 105 and FPS was about 20+. But I wasn't able to stay on for more then 10 min max.

Excellent progress gentlemen. I wish I could be more active in the community but with work and family I am only able to pop on on occasion but wanted to thank you for all the work you have done.
