[NOTICE] Bad Password? Account in Use? Too Many Characters?

This is a direct result of the login server being DOWN. The server is reporting:

1) Your password as incorrect

2) Your account is already in use

3) You cannot create more characters

These are all symptoms of the same problem. The login server is simply down for the moment.

As always, it will be up again asap. Please refrain from creating threads about these issues.

I just kept telling myself it wasn't physically possible for it to be incorrect.

You can launch the game without the launchpad actually. Just clic SwgEmu.exe in your SWGEmu folder.
I did this, made me log into character selection screen and now can't go further.

The MotD has not been that since the wipe this morning at about 4am EST. There are no other scheduled wipes that I know of.

The login was floating up and down throughout the day up until about 4 hours ago. Please report back if you are still experiencing this problem AFTER the next restart. The server is currently deadlocked.

I think it should be added that getting stuck on "Connecting to the Galaxy..." also mean the server is down. I wasn't getting any of the other messages, instead it's just hanging. Maybe update the OP with that as well, in case anyone else comes looking for answers?

Having same issue with the password saying it's misspelled or the account is in use. It's sept 16th now. I was having a couple funky issues in the game about 2 hours ago so I logged off and tried to log on again and it gave me that same warning from the character select screen. I'm assuming this is still the same thing...

Is there anything we in the community can do to help resolve this chronic deadlock?

I'm assuming that this isnt something that is done on purpose.

If there is anything , just say the word. Even If it's nothing more than "passing the hat" to fund a different or better log in server.

I'm sure most of us agree that we would be willing to do whatever we could to end the deadlock issue.

It's not the server its a bug in the code that when certain events line up just right it locks up, waiting for some process that'll never happen. We lock up the server enough and they'll eventually root out the bugs that cause it and it shouldn't happen anymore. So keep loggin on and testing things out and be patient through out the down times.

Yes, if you let it sit on the connecting to galaxy it should connect eventually whena spot opens up. OR just try again later.
