Hi folks,
There is currently a problem with LaunchPadEnhanced. You may launch the the game manually by running 'Swgemu.exe' found in your c:\swgemu directory (or location where you installed the emu). Please note that this method with only work if you have successfully patched the client with LPE previously and the client is in good working order. We hope to have LPE restored in working order very soon.
Thank you.
*Edit* - If you ran a full scan in LPE today after this issue popped up, it is possible LPE deleted the exe from c:\swgemu with the idea it would be repaired. However, currently LPE isnt talking to the server it needs to repair files. Therefore, LPE never gets the chance to fix the client exe.

Thanks for the info. Look forward to an update!

EDIT: QQ, though. I'm searching for swgemu.exe on my machine but can't find it. All I have under the C:\SWGEmu directory is swgemu_setup.exe. Am I missing something?
P.S., Sorry if this is a dumb question... Mondays...

I tried doing a full scan, but it just tries reloading LPE. I think that's part of what's going on (or at least a symptom). Try following odwill's instructions if you can. As you can see, I've not had luck finding the proper executable.

I am having the same problem. I don't have a swgemu.exe in the folder. So what kind of patch/fix caused this to happen?

To find your swgemu.exe right click on your start menu, click explore, then go to your SWGEmu files, and scroll down til you find the .exe file. Should be pretty easy to find.

I think not having the .exe is the problem.

same problem dont have that exe found a pre-fetch file in windows but thats it. I also did a full scan perhaps that is what erased it when it said download complete but showed it as updating.

I know where the file is to be located but it just isn't there now. I launched the lpe and when it was done patching/updating it still said updating. Then I read to use the swgemu.exe. Whatever the updating did it is now gone. So I guess remove everything and reinstall just to fix whatever the update did now?
Well guess its our fault for running the full scan to try to fix what happened. Reinstall here I come.

And at last when it will come back home ?

Found a work around.
Go to your SWG folder and copy the SWGEmu.exe to your SWGEMU floder. Then double click the .exe
Just dont use the LP or you will still remain stuck.

Why would the swgemu.exe be in the SWG folder?

Well lesson learned lol...I'll be making a backup of the swgemu.exe and storing it somewhere else in case this happens again.

Folks, we have to control the information flying around. There's old links, outdated information, and some questionable content. Failing to do so could possibly create a nightmare of mishmash installs and attempted workarounds, piling up Support even more than it's been today, which is insane.
I appreciate you trying to help one another, but until we can get ahead of this and figure out the fix on our end, please don't post about it.

My first attempt to reconnect made me download all the tre files and whatnot, then i hit play, game crashed. Opened up the LPE thinking it might have been a fluke. Now it tells me all the files i just downloaded are corrupt, and its asking me if i want to re download, so i hit yes to all of them to see how trial number 2 goes.
Updated for my early morning bad grammer.

Any word on when the LPE is going to be fixed? Still getting the SwgClient_r has stopped working message whenever I try to launch from the LPE or using the exe file.

LPE is back in business. For the folks that have corrupted clients; If running a full scan does not take care of your issue try running a Fast Repair.
Open LPE
Click Options
Click Fast Repair
Let it update
Restart LPE and push play
If that does not help try a Complete Repair;
Open LPE
Click Options
Click Complete Repair
Let it update (will take a long time)
Restart LPE and push play
If still no joy you are looking at a full reinstall.
Good luck.

I found it in my folder but I cant screen shot it now Im at work. The exe is black like the launchpad icon but it looks different. It dosent have the same star graphic. I think it says swg emu or something. Towards the bottom of my folder.
