Update: The issue is now resolved. Thank you for your patience.

Hi folks,

LPE is having some issues communicating to its host server at the moment. During this time LPE will run extremely slow and may even remove or corrupt files needed by the client. For the time being I would recommend launching the game from the swgemu.exe file located in the Swgemu directory.

If you are just installing and you probably are LPE cant update your SWGEmu installation due to server issues. You'll just have to wait until its resolved.

That's probably it, you can try to download them yourself but i wouldn't recommend it.

Since LPE is corrupting and deleting the files from your SWGEmu folder, i think everyone should be advised to refrain from using LPE and try to use SWGEmu.exe (if it still exists in their C:\SWGEmu folders) and that way get in game without losing their files.

I suppose you could add me to the list of those who cannot find an exe file in the proper folder. Guess that means a reinstall this afternoon if I can remember how to do that.

I would wait that reinstall until LPE issues are resolved.

It is possible that you have an icon in your swgemu folder that says SWG on it and when you hold your mouse over it, it says "SwgClient_r". If so, click that and it should start your emu. That's what I did because I also didn't see a folder titled swgemu.exe.

That's it, that's the one.

First I tried a scan, no improvment. Did a complete repair, my mistake I see now. Then had empty folders for SWGEmu, not even hidden files. Now something has been fixed cause it's downloading all the info it deleted when i tried the Complete repair.

In the end my lack of patience caused me more trouble than it was worth. Next time i'm just reading a book and waiting.
