New Front Page [Archive] - SWGEmu Old Forums Archive

This has been sitting on my desktop over the summer so I decided to throw the main face up tonight. I'll fill in the page with real ads tomorrow and as well as some more colorful content. The Multimedia page is going to be an SWGEmu-Youtube kinda deal which is going to be powered by the Brightcove players which should turn out to be pretty awesome. I think I have a history draft sitting in a folder somewhere so that page should be coming pretty soon as well.

The majority of what is up tonight is just the barebones site. Most of the content isn't available yet. The bug tracker feature probably will never be used until later on in the project's life.

As I said I'll be throwing up a major component, the Multimedia page, tomorrow afternoon.

Not to be the rotten egg in the bunch... But... I don't know, it seems really naked as of now. By more colorful content do you mean, expanding on certain visuals to make it look less unfinished?

For some reason back when the design was announced it looked far more dressed up.

Just my thoughts.

haha i went to go retype it in, cause i thought i mustve put in .org or somethin like that, and realized that i couldnt type anything different in the address bar. it has such an official feel to it now... now it doesnt feel so much like an angry mob, as it feels like a true reconstruction project.

I was thinking we need to get some SWGEMu swag made up. A white T-shirt with that logo would look sick. Make them up an ill order one from ya.:)

Maximize your browser window. That'll fix the problem.

Do you plan to fix this little design flaw? Having to maximize the browser just to read the news or use the menu is kinda annoying.

Overall though, the site looks nice

I prefer the new version. Easier to look at and discern the important information. The color scheme was easier on the eyes. From a multimedia standpoint it's superior.

The old (and apparantly current?) version was annoying at best.
