[NOVA] I can't connect!?

I was wondering if the MAX User count has been lowered now as
I have tried several times to get on when the server was UP and
could never get past "Connecting to Galaxy". I have also seen this:

Status: up
Users Connected: 513
Max Users: 523

Server cap still is between 800 and 1000 instances logged.

You will see fewer AFK crafters once they get to where they can use harvesters. It can be a little annoying I agree,but no one wants to sit and watch their toon sample for hours in some remote location.

It is normally, but I think (Ultyma said something along those lines) server cap defaults to 500, so 2 hours ago, when it was restarted, nobody raised to 900 manually...

Good news everyone. I have an idea, a crazy idea,but idea it is! how about writing a scrypt to disconect people who are afk longer then 20 min. because there are alot of people in cantinas (not entertainers but u could kick them too) and in the wildernes that just sit afk (some are spreading green fog dont know what that it is im new here)

The people in the wilderness are harvesting resources. It's currently the only way to get resources other than meat, hide, and bone. Removing them would pretty much destroy crafting professions.

Its a bug, its server side, only fix i know of is waiting for a server restart.

A bug as in if you get it you can NOT log in atall, no matter what the TC status is if you are getting this message?

If it lets you get to "connecting" then you will eventually get in, but this bug doesn't even let you get to "connecting to the galaxy" part.

In this case, it (Hopefully) means that Boba Fett has decided not to attack with an army of clones, and that the band-aid fix for seeker droids will have a new band-aid (Spongebob please).

You are to check IRC #status or #test channel, and if it says its ONLINE, then you don't need to assume that its full.

EDIT: Was told it is an undocumented feature. Server restart should fix my issue.

I'm having this same issue, the difference is that I have two characters made, but I only log in with one at a time. Looks like I'll be waiting for a server restart. While I'm posting, I figure I might as well field a question: what exactly am I expected to do in 'testing' the server? should I be reporting every time that I get hit by a glitch/issue and the circumstances that were going on when the glitch cropped up? And if so, where? I can see a thread where such things would be compiled as getting flooded with reports of the same issue over and over again. Is there an easier means to report errors such as a checklist that I could look over, check what glitch I've encountered, when, and where, and then submit it?

I think you are looking for www.swgemu.com/bugs, you will need to register there though to report or view bug reports.

I'm new here and perhaps this has been suggested before but would there be anyway of assuring a slot for donaters? I think it's entirely reasonable for people who donate to get some sort of preference on getting in to the server to play. Perhaps the slot would be held for a person for 30 days for donations of $10 and up, or perhaps break it down so that a certain $ amount = 1 month of ensured slot time so $120 would be 1year of ensured access. This could encourage donations that could eventually fund a faster connection as well as being totally fair to everyone.

Size of the server has nothing to do with server cap and people not being able to log on. Here whats really going on.

The cap is there due to memory leaks. This issue should become fixed after the OR hits.
